Austrian PBC registry aims to unlock disease mysteries

Summary
This study is creating a registry and optional biobank for 500 adults with primary biliary cholangitis (PBC) in Austria. Researchers will collect medical data and blood samples during regular clinic visits to track how the disease progresses, including complications like liver cirrhosis and portal hypertension. The goal is to better understand PBC over time, not to test a new treatment.
