Veterans get a dream team before surgery: can it save lives?

Summary
This study looks at whether a team of specialists working together can improve care for frail veterans before elective surgery. About 35,000 veterans at three VA hospitals will be part of the study. The goal is to see if this team approach lowers the chance of death within 180 days after surgery.
