Chatbot boosts mental health and reduces violence against kids in refugee camp

Summary
This study tested a chatbot called ParentText for Crisis with 198 Palestinian caregivers living in a refugee camp in Jordan. The chatbot sent messages via WhatsApp to help improve caregivers' mental health, encourage positive parenting, and reduce violence against children. Results showed that caregivers who used the chatbot felt less depressed and played more with their children.
