Summary
This study tests whether giving elderly patients a paracetamol injection after non-cardiac surgery can lower their risk of postoperative delirium (sudden confusion). About 1,092 people aged 60 and older in the ICU will receive either paracetamol or a standard opioid painkiller. The goal is to see if paracetamol is safer and just as effective for pain.
