NCT ID NCT03396146
First seen Jan 19, 2026 · Last updated Jun 15, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study looked at whether measuring a hormone called pancreatic polypeptide can help doctors tell the difference between type 1 diabetes and type 3c diabetes (diabetes caused by pancreas damage). Thirty-six adults with either type 1 or type 3c diabetes had their pancreatic polypeptide levels measured after a meal. The goal was to see if this test could improve how diabetes is classified, not to treat the disease.
