Can a new sensor track blood sugar with pinpoint accuracy?
NCT ID NCT07745244
First seen Aug 04, 2026 · Last updated Aug 05, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This trial evaluates a new continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) system in adults with type 1 diabetes. Participants will wear the sensor for 14 days while their blood sugar is measured against standard lab tests to see how accurate and safe the device is across different glucose levels. The goal is to determine if this CGM can reliably help people manage their diabetes in real time.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only, not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- GS3 continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) system
- What this could lead to
- If successful, this could provide a more accurate and safer way for people with type 1 diabetes to track their blood sugar in real time, potentially improving daily management and reducing complications.
- What could go wrong
- This is a small, early-stage study focused on device accuracy and safety, not on long-term health outcomes. The device may not perform consistently across all glucose ranges, and there is a risk of skin irritation or other device-related effects.
