New approach could prevent unnecessary pancreas surgeries
NCT ID NCT04473794
Summary
This study aims to develop better methods for identifying which pancreatic cysts are likely to become cancerous versus those that are harmless. Researchers will follow 5,000 patients with pancreatic cysts over time to understand how these growths naturally progress. The goal is to create a diagnostic model that helps doctors determine when surgery is truly needed versus when careful monitoring is sufficient.
