New nerve block could cut opioid use after heart surgery

Summary
This study tests whether a special nerve block given before surgery can reduce pain and the need for strong painkillers after minimally invasive heart valve surgery. About 90 adults will receive either the nerve block or a placebo. The goal is to improve recovery and lower opioid use.
