New combo aims to ease Post-Surgery pain for hysterectomy patients

Summary
This study compares two drug combinations given through an IV to control pain after vaginal hysterectomy. One group gets dexmedetomidine plus ketamine, the other gets dexmedetomidine alone. The goal is to see which provides better pain relief and reduces the need for extra painkillers in the first 24 hours after surgery. The study will enroll 50 women aged 21-65 who are having a vaginal hysterectomy under spinal anesthesia.
