First seen Sep 30, 2025 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study looked at 71 women having open surgery for gynecologic cancer. It compared two pain-relief methods: an epidural block and a newer erector spinae plane block. Researchers measured pain scores, opioid use, and how quickly patients could move after surgery. The goal was to see if the newer block works as well as the standard epidural.
