New pain block could help kidney donors recover faster
NCT ID NCT07396753
Summary
This study is testing if a specific nerve block can help control pain after minimally invasive kidney donation surgery. Fifty living kidney donors will be randomly assigned to receive either standard anesthesia or standard anesthesia plus the nerve block. The main goal is to see if the block reduces the need for strong opioid painkillers and improves comfort during the first day of recovery.
