First seen Mar 31, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study compares two ultrasound-guided pain-blocking techniques for adults having open-heart surgery. The goal is to see which method better reduces the need for strong painkillers (opioids) in the first 24 hours after surgery. 80 participants will be randomly assigned to receive one of the two blocks, and researchers will track pain levels, side effects, and recovery time.
