First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 31 times
Summary
This study looked at two ways to manage ovarian cancer risk in 40 women with BRCA gene mutations or strong family history. One group had their ovaries and fallopian tubes removed to prevent cancer, while the other group had regular CA-125 blood tests to catch cancer early. Researchers tracked cancer rates, tissue changes, and quality of life to see which approach worked best.
