Can cheap hearing aids help those with memory loss hear better?
NCT ID NCT06112860
Summary
This study aims to see if over-the-counter hearing aids can improve communication for older adults who have both hearing loss and mild cognitive impairment or early dementia. Researchers will compare hearing aids against communication strategy training to see which helps conversations between patients and their partners more. The goal is to find simple, accessible ways to ease communication difficulties in this population.
