Scientists pinpoint the moment angina strikes during exercise

NCT ID NCT07386418

First seen Feb 04, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study looks at 60 people with stable angina (chest pain) and two narrowed heart arteries. During a heart catheter procedure, they will exercise on a bike while a tiny balloon briefly blocks blood flow to measure exactly when symptoms begin. The goal is to understand why different blockages cause pain at different times, which could help doctors decide which ones to treat.
