Scientists probe the exact moment chest pain strikes during exercise

NCT ID NCT07386418

First seen Feb 04, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study looks at 60 people with stable angina (chest pain) and two narrowed heart arteries. During a catheter procedure, doctors inflate a tiny balloon inside each narrowed spot while the person exercises on a bike. They measure how much blood flow drops before pain starts. The goal is to learn if different blockages cause pain at different thresholds, which could help tailor treatments.
