Lab-Grown tumors may predict immunotherapy success in oral cancer
NCT ID NCT07343596
First seen Jan 19, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study aims to see if researchers can create a personalized tumor model in the lab that predicts how a person's oral cancer will respond to immunotherapy (pembrolizumab) before surgery. About 20 adults with stage II-IVB oral cavity cancer will provide a biopsy sample and take pembrolizumab as standard care. The main goal is to identify genetic and immune changes that separate responders from non-responders, not to test a new treatment.
