Scientists grow Mini-Tumors to predict cancer treatment success

NCT ID NCT07343596

Summary

This study aims to find biological markers that can predict if a patient's oral cavity cancer will respond to immunotherapy given before surgery. Researchers will take a small tumor sample from each of the 20 participants and grow it in a special lab dish. They will then test if this lab-grown model can accurately show how the patient's actual tumor responds to the drug pembrolizumab.
