NCT ID NCT05439005
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study tests whether avoiding opioids during breast reconstruction surgery can reduce the need for strong painkillers afterward. About 158 women will be randomly assigned to receive either opioid-free or standard opioid-based anesthesia. The goal is to see if the opioid-free approach leads to less morphine use and fewer side effects like nausea in the first two days after surgery.
