NCT ID NCT05439005

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study tests whether avoiding opioids during breast reconstruction surgery can reduce the need for morphine afterward. About 158 women having free flap breast reconstruction will be randomly assigned to receive either opioid-free or standard opioid anesthesia. The goal is to see if the opioid-free approach leads to less pain medication use and fewer side effects like nausea.
