Scientists test video games as a prescription for loneliness
NCT ID NCT07296133
Summary
This study is testing whether playing simple online games like Connect 4 and Uno can help older adults feel less lonely and more socially connected. Researchers will enroll 124 adults aged 50-85, some with mild memory concerns, to play games remotely with friends or family for 15 minutes, three times a week for 12 weeks. The goal is to see if this easy, fun activity can improve well-being and quality of life.
