Scientists test video games as a prescription for loneliness
NCT ID NCT07296133
Summary
This study is testing whether playing simple online games like Connect 4 and Uno with family and friends can help older adults feel less lonely and more socially connected. Researchers are enrolling 124 adults aged 50-85, including some with mild memory concerns, to play games three times a week for 12 weeks using a specially designed, easy-to-use website. The goal is to see if this fun, remote activity can improve well-being and quality of life.
