Summary

This study looked at whether omega-3 fatty acids can reduce inflammation and improve depression in people whose depression hasn't improved with standard antidepressants. 14 adults with treatment-resistant depression were randomly given either omega-3 or a placebo for 12 weeks. Researchers measured anti-inflammatory compounds in the blood and tracked changes in depressive symptoms.
