Summary
This study looks at whether a special type of eye scan (functional OCT) can detect early signs of diabetic retinopathy, a leading cause of blindness. Currently, doctors use a dye injection to see blood vessel damage, but this dye can cause side effects. The study involves 165 people with diabetes and aims to see if the new scan can safely and accurately measure blood flow and vessel changes without the need for dye.
