First seen Apr 30, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study looks at whether certain autoantibodies (proteins that attack the body's own cells) are present in people with obesity and if they are linked to how severe the obesity is. Researchers will also check if these antibodies are connected to obesity-related health problems like pre-diabetes and type 2 diabetes. The study involves 160 adults with a BMI over 30 who live in southern Denmark.
