NCT ID NCT04614714
First seen Jan 16, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study tests whether a supplement called nicotinamide riboside (a form of vitamin B3) can help mothers of premature or sick babies in the NICU produce more breast milk. Forty mothers will receive either the supplement or a placebo, and researchers will measure milk volume and nutrient levels. The goal is to see if this simple addition can support lactation during a stressful hospital stay.
