Summary

This study is testing a new type of medical imaging scan to see if it can better detect and monitor a wide range of chronic inflammatory and scarring diseases. Researchers will give 390 participants a special tracer and use a PET/CT scanner to see where and how intensely it lights up in the body. The goal is to see if this new scan provides clearer, more useful information than current methods for conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, and liver fibrosis.
