Could a single shot ease days of Post-Surgery pain?
NCT ID NCT07245290
Summary
This study is testing a new, long-acting numbing medicine (liposomal bupivacaine) to see if it can better control pain after a specific brain surgery called microvascular decompression. Researchers will inject the medicine directly into the surgical site in half of the 100 participants, while the other half receive standard care. The main goal is to see if this single injection reduces pain scores and the need for strong opioid painkillers over the first 72 hours after surgery.
