Could a simple scan replace painful liver tests?

NCT ID NCT05475015

Summary

This study is testing a new, non-invasive type of MRI scan to measure pressure in the liver's blood vessels (portal hypertension) in people with cirrhosis. The goal is to see if this scan can accurately predict the results of the current invasive test, which requires a needle. If successful, it could help doctors better manage liver disease without uncomfortable procedures.
