Could a simple scan replace a painful liver test?
NCT ID NCT05475015
Summary
This study is testing a new type of MRI scan to see if it can accurately measure high blood pressure in the liver, a serious complication of cirrhosis. The goal is to create a safer, non-invasive alternative to the current standard test, which requires inserting a catheter into a vein. Researchers will enroll 150 adults with advanced liver disease to compare the new scan's results with the traditional measurement.
