First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study tested a new MRI technique (called Advanced ZTE) to take clear pictures of children's lungs without using radiation or injecting contrast dye. 72 children aged 6-16 who already needed a chest CT scan took part. The goal was to see if the new MRI could match the quality of standard CT scans, which use radiation.
