Could this light sensor replace the blood pressure cuff?

NCT ID NCT05393401

Summary

This study is testing a new prototype device that aims to measure blood pressure continuously and comfortably. It uses light sensors on the skin to track pulse waves instead of squeezing the arm with a cuff. Researchers are enrolling 27 healthy volunteers to see if this new method is reliable and accurate compared to standard blood pressure monitors.
