Zap your way to zen: brain stimulation may replace years of meditation

NCT ID NCT06601699

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study tests whether a brain stimulation cap can help healthy adults quickly reach a deep meditative state, normally achieved only after years of practice. 48 participants will wear an EEG cap and receive stimulation while doing a guided meditation task. The goal is to see if this can boost openness and wellbeing, making meditation benefits more accessible.
