New drug combo may help surgeons remove tough thyroid tumors

Summary
This study tests whether giving the drug lenvatinib before surgery can help doctors more completely remove advanced thyroid cancer that has spread outside the gland. About 30 adults with this type of cancer will receive lenvatinib for a short time before their operation. The goal is to see if this approach leads to cleaner surgical margins and better outcomes.
