Tiny gel particles may boost gum healing without surgery
NCT ID NCT07608783
First seen May 30, 2026 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study tests whether adding a special nano-gel (nano-hydroxyapatite) to a deep-cleaning gum treatment helps heal deep gum pockets better than cleaning alone. About 28 adults with advanced gum disease will be randomly assigned to get either the cleaning plus gel or just the cleaning. Researchers will measure pocket depth changes over 6 months to see if the gel improves healing and bone regrowth.
