First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study tests whether taking N-acetylcysteine and simethicone before an upper GI endoscopy helps doctors see the stomach lining more clearly. About 132 adults, both healthy and with stomach issues, will receive either the drug combo or a placebo. The goal is to improve detection of abnormalities like ulcers or tumors during the procedure.
