Can a simple test replace fancy machines for muscle health?
NCT ID NCT05027152
First seen Apr 01, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study looked at a simple test called the Myositis Functional Index-3 (FI-3) to see if it can accurately measure muscle function in people with inflammatory myopathies (like dermatomyositis and polymyositis). Researchers compared it to advanced machines and also tested if repetitive task training is safe and effective. Only 2 people took part, so results are very limited.
