First seen Feb 16, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study tests whether a time-saving, joint-friendly training method called whole-body electromyostimulation (WB-EMS) can lower resting blood pressure and improve other heart-related risk factors in people with mild hypertension who are overweight. About 28 participants will undergo several weeks of WB-EMS training. The goal is to see if this approach is a safe and effective alternative to traditional exercise for managing blood pressure and metabolic syndrome.
