First seen Mar 10, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study looked at how the calf muscle and Achilles tendon move together during walking in people who have had a stroke or spinal cord injury, compared to healthy individuals. Researchers used ultrasound and 3D motion analysis to measure changes in muscle and tendon length. The goal was to better understand walking difficulties in these conditions. 64 adults with some walking ability took part.
