Scientists check if your own cells could fix wasting muscles
NCT ID NCT06077734
First seen Mar 10, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study looked at the quality of muscle stem cells (called mesoangioblasts) from people with muscle wasting due to cancer or aging, compared to healthy adults. Researchers took small muscle samples and blood to see if these cells could be grown in a lab and turned into new muscle. The goal was to find out if using a person's own stem cells might be a future treatment option.
