Summary

This study tested whether a special MRI technique called susceptibility weighted imaging (SWI) can better detect endometriosis lesions before surgery. Endometriosis spots often contain old blood, which SWI is good at seeing. Researchers compared SWI-MRI findings with what surgeons actually found during surgery in 74 women.
