New pain drug shows promise in hernia surgery recovery

Summary
This study tested a new medicine called MR-107A-02 to see if it can safely reduce pain after hernia repair surgery. About 579 adults took part, comparing the new drug to a placebo (fake pill) and an active painkiller. The goal was to measure pain intensity and the need for extra opioid pain medicine.
