First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study tests a virtual reality headset that uses special prisms to expand the field of view for people with vision loss, such as tunnel vision or hemianopia. About 15 participants will walk in a real environment while the headset shows virtual pedestrians, and researchers will measure how quickly they detect hazards. The goal is to see if this approach can improve mobility and safety.
