Summary

This study tested a digital program called 'Empowered Relief: On-Demand' to help people with chronic pain who misuse prescription opioids. 234 adults were randomly assigned to either the pain skills app or a health education app. Researchers measured pain levels, opioid cravings, and misuse over 3 months to see if the digital skills training could improve outcomes.
