Summary
This study tests a therapy program for mothers recovering from substance use disorders and their children (newborn to age 5). The program combines two proven therapies to strengthen the parent-child bond and improve family well-being. About 320 mother-child pairs will take part, with some also getting a recovery specialist to help with housing and other needs. The goal is to reduce stress, improve child behavior, and keep families safe and together.
