First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study tests a special laser (micropulse) to treat diabetic macular edema, a swelling in the back of the eye that can blur vision. Researchers will compare how well it works in people getting treatment for the first time versus those who haven't improved with other treatments. About 50 adults with diabetes and mild to moderate vision loss will take part, and the study will measure changes in vision and eye thickness over time.
