First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated Jun 19, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study tested a thinking-based therapy (metacognitive strategy training) to help stroke survivors improve their ability to perform daily activities and reduce movement problems. 72 adults who had a stroke within the past 9 months took part. The therapy focused on teaching problem-solving skills to tackle everyday tasks, rather than just repetitive exercises.
