Summary
This study tested whether adding a metabolic therapy program (fasting and a ketogenic diet) to standard treatment (chemoradiation and chemotherapy) is safe and feasible for people with glioblastoma, an aggressive brain cancer. The approach aims to starve cancer cells by lowering blood glucose and raising ketones, which normal cells can use for energy. 18 newly diagnosed patients participated, and the study measured how well they could maintain a specific blood sugar-to-ketone ratio during treatment.
