Summary
This study looked at whether providing home-delivered meals to Black, low-income pregnant women with overweight or obesity could improve their diet and help them gain a healthy amount of weight during pregnancy. Seventeen women received meals, and researchers measured changes in their eating habits, food security, and weight gain compared to a similar group from hospital records. The goal was to see if this approach is practical and helpful for managing heart and metabolic health during pregnancy.
