First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 36 times
Summary
This study looked at whether giving a combination of acetaminophen and ibuprofen (Maxigesic) during and after lung surgery could reduce confusion (delirium) in patients aged 65 and older. The study planned to compare 25 patients who received the drug with those who received a placebo, but it was terminated early. The goal was to see if better pain control could help prevent mental confusion after surgery.
